Overall, I am a very happy customer.

I have now had my new Ford ST Line PHEV Kuga for just over one month, it being delivered on 1 March 2022, which replaced my previous Kuga, which I had had for twenty months.

James at Buckingham Ford has not only moved my car to a plug in hybrid Kuga, improved the overall car specification substantially and managed to reduce my monthly payments as well. This being due to the market conditions of a high retail value in the second hand car market against market and supply chain conditions for car manufacturing created by the COVID 19 pandemic. I placed the order in September 2021, knowing that delays; I finally knew my car was available in late February.

I have lost count on the number of new cars we have had from Buckingham Ford (possibly around 15 to 16 over 14 years) and I do believe this is one of the best deals I have received to date.

The car itself is a major improvement on my old Kuga. The comfort and design of the car is simply much better. The car is quiet, even when not in electric power mode, it just glides effortlessly. Having an electric car for the first time I was obviously looking for the advantages and I found them and more! Running on electric for shorter journeys is a major saving on petrol. It has also changed my style of driving knowing that easing off the accelerator and also braking in a smooth manner returns electricity back to the battery.

One surprise I had was when I had to make a journey from Ringwood to home, a distance of 101 miles. I had 0 miles of electric reading in the car but due to the technology of the car, I found that over 39 miles of the journey was actually performed on electric and not petrol. Totally amazing.

When I purchased the car, I was provided with a 3 pin plug wall charger lead for home charging and decided to purchase a charging lead for electric charging points when away from my home. I also decided to install an electric point at my home. This was fitted by SLS Electrical Contractors, a local firm. They ran the electric charging point from my main fuse box to outside my garage wall. A neat, tidy and professional job was done.

As a result I have reduced the charge time by 40% and also found that by using the charger, rather than using the 3 pin plug I have increased the amount of miles charged by 25%. I now get over 40 miles on a charge, the maximum distance I have received so far is 45 miles.

After just over 1 month of having the PHEV Kuga I must say that I am totally converted to a plug in hybrid. I can clearly see the benefits; in reduced petrol consumption ; it’s cleaner and better for the environment and thanks to Buckingham Ford it has saved me money on my payments.

Great Service

We were looking to buy a Ford Puma and came across our perfect car online. We decided to contact the Dealership directly, via email, as both of us were dreading the typical telephone conversation with the salesman, and arranged to view the vehicle the next day.

Well, we needn't had worried because Jacob, the Salesman at Buckingham Ford, was wonderful.  He was professional, informative and did not use any of the hard sale techniques we had previously endured at other dealerships. We were able to take the car for a test drive, whilst they valued our car.   When we returned we agreed a part exchange price for our vehicle and a price for the new car, quickly and  efficiently, none of the usually painful negotiations. We felt relaxed and unpressured. We then arranged to collect the car a couple of days later.

On collection day, our car was ready. Jacob was engaged in a call but his colleague looked after us and completed all the paperwork.  Then Jacob took us to our new car, showed us how to use all the new gadgets (he had already tuned in my favourite radio station as he'd noticed it when valuing my car) and linked my phone to the car.

This was by far the best car buying experience we have ever had.  Ford Buckingham should be proud of themselves both Salesmen are a pleasure to do business with.  We will definitely be recommending Ford Buckingham to everyone and will return in future. Well worth the 70 mile round trip.

5 star experience!

Great service, Chris and his team got to the bottom of intermittent and annoying electrical fault on my fairly new car. 
Chris kept me updated while they had it, fault is gone and working like new again! 
When aftersales provide such good service I can only imagine that buying a new car from them will also be a 5 star experience!

A better deal than the garage I used previously!

Buckingham came up in my carwow search, although it wasn't my go to as the distance from where I live was further away, they were able to offer me a better deal than the garage I used previously. Jacob was the sales executive whom I dealt with - his customer service was excellent and it made our journey worth the drive! 
Also the garage were very welcoming, accommodating and delivered their promise.

Very Pleased!

We were recently looking to purchase a used Kuga and were beginning to despair with the service we were receiving from large, local dealerships.  
Finally, having seen one advertised on-line we called Buckingham Ford to make further enquiries.  One of their sales consultants, Jacob, answered our call and it was so refreshing to speak to a dealer who listened to our requirements rather than reverting straight to a sales pitch.  
We very much liked the ethos of the company and felt that our custom was appreciated.  The following day we made a 70 mile round trip to view the car and Jacob took us through a seamless purchase transaction.

It is worth the 200 mile round trip!

I would just like to say it has been a great pleasure to purchase a new car from you.  It is worth the 200 mile round trip to deal with your company. 

James has looked after us again magnificently even bringing the car to us up in Sheffield. We know we have nothing to worry about and have great confidence in James (we have bought cars from James for the last 15 years) and his expertise. 

As for the car, both myself and Jo have said the new Kuga is a great a driving experience, one we haven’t had since probably the 3rd SMax we had. There is a massive difference from the last Kuga and our new PHEV. 

The PHEV is our first electric car (not full electric) and you would not know it was one as there seems very little difference with performance.  

The whole experience has just been fantastic and feel free to use all or part of this in anyway you like to promote your business.
